SNOW BELT RECEIVES FUNDING FOR HOMELESS PREVENTION
Tri-County Homelessness Program
Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties recently received funding from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) HEARTH Program to assist persons who are homeless or who are in danger of becoming homeless.

In Jefferson County the administrator of the HEARTH program is Watertown Urban Mission (782-8440). In Lewis County the administrator is Snow Belt Housing (376-2639). And in St. Lawrence County, Massena Independent Living Center (764-9442) is handling the administration of the program. Clients must be at or below 50% of the county median income in which they are applying.
The Tri-County HEARTH Program can help with rent, utility bills, moving costs, security deposits, and some legal fees. Please see our HEARTH Program webpage located under the Housing Assistance Main Page for additional information.
