Applying to Work With Snow Belt

Snow Belt Housing is always looking for new contractors to be on our Approved Contractor’s List. We administer rehabilitation grant programs in Lewis County, but even if you are located outside Lewis County you are welcome to bid on our projects, if requested to by a homeowner. Currently our list includes contractors from outside Lewis County, including Edwards, Rome, Sauquoit, Colton, Gouverneur, and Utica.

Contractors must have insurance and references; women- and minority-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. If you are interested in working with us, click HERE to obtain a copy of our Contractor Eligibility Certification Form.

Please note that we require contractors to have passed the Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) training class. Our projects are state- and federally-funded, and therefore must comply with the EPA’s RRP practices regarding lead-based paint.
