Lead-Based Paint Certification

The lead paint-training program has been designed to educate and protect residents and workers.  The Lead-Based Paint Interim Control and Stabilization Contractor Training Program provides training sessions by a certified trainer in HUD/EPA regulations and safe work practices for lead paint removal and containment.  Each eight-hour training session is interactive with experimental learning models, which correlate the lecture with hands-on examples.  Participants are required to pass a comprehensive test at the end of the training to meet federal regulations. Classes range in size from six to fifteen participants.

Currently, regular classes are being held at the Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency in Rome, New York. Click on their name to reach the web page with the current schedule and information on fees and registration.

If you have any questions, please e-mail Susan Uttendorfsky or call (315) 376-2639, Extension 4.
