Snow Belt Housing is seeking a qualified individual to fill the newly-created position of Community Development Coordinator. This professional staff position is responsible for planning and implementing housing and community development activities. The CDC performs data analysis, prepares reports, writes grants for communities and assists with planning efforts. The successful applicant will be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with state and federal housing programs desired. A BA degree in a related field is required. VILLAGE OF LOWVILLE RECEIVES FUNDING $400,000 For Rental Rehabilitation
The Village of Lowville has received $400,000 for a Downtown Lowville Housing Revitalization Program to continue the revitalization efforts currently underway in the Village. This program is currently accepting applications from building owners in the two-block downtown area. Funds are available to rehabilitate up to 12 low- and moderate-income renter-occupied housing units. Investor owners who rent to low- and moderate-income households will be eligible for 100% financing in the form of an 80% grant, 20% low-interest (3%) loan averaging $22,000 per unit, with a maximum of $25,000 per unit.
